Bacterial and parasite problems only become a problem if left unattended, by applying some easy basic principals and good husbandry,with sensible applications of treatments, and some preventitive additives, that combined with a basic microscope will most certrainly make koi keeping more of a pleasure and less of a bind which will in turn reduce any koi Health Issues that you may be experiencing.

Bacterial Control The two most common bacteria that cause problems on koi fish are Aeromonas and Pseudomonas. Both of these bacteria are naturally occurring and are found in all pond and lake water. These bacteria are non existent in tap water because chlorine is added to kill any bacteria.
